London Legacy Development Corporation East Works Awards

The Camden Society was honoured at this year’s East Works awards, winning awards for Diversity and Inclusion and the much coveted Employer of the Year.

The London Legacy Development Corporation’s East Works Awards, is a celebration of the diversity of talent, innovation and businesses on and around Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The event recognises the achievements of people and partners participating in the London Legacy Development Corporation’s East Works programme.

Upon receiving the awards, Denise Largin, The Camden Society’s Chief Executive, noted that, “We are successfully creating job opportunities for people with a learning disability and for people from the boroughs around the park. “It’s only possible to level the playing field for both of these groups with commitment, determination and persistence - something our hard-working staff team and apprentices have in abundance.”

In addition to its successes in the employer categories, former Unity Kitchen Timber Lodge apprentices, Michaela Angell and Misa Jovanovic, were nominated for the Individual Achievement awards for their successful year working at in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
