Volunteer at The Great Escape 2012
Volunteer at this year's Great Escape summer holiday and get events experience along with a week of summer squeals.
We're looking for volunteers to help at our break from the city - a week-long holiday for people with learning disabilities that will take place from 13-19 August 2012. We'll be decamping to Woodrow High House - a beautiful Buckinghamshire country house to enjoy a week packed with day trips and activities from archery to filmmaking to football and much, much more.
For more details, see our event page.
If you're up for the challenge, you'll have great fun supporting people with learning disabilities to have a much-needed holiday. You will get free accommodation and meals and your travel expenses paid, as well as having a holiday experience that you will never forget. We're sure you'll make great friends here too.
What can you do?
We're looking for volunteers to fill the following roles:
Supporting People Volunteers
We need enthusiastic people to support people with learning disabilities to enjoy the Great Escape. Some prior experience in supporting or working with people with learning disabilities is desirable.
Activity Session Volunteers
If you've got a passion for sport, the arts, music, drama or crafts, bring your zest and knowledge to help facilitate our jam-packed activity programme over the week.
Camping Team Volunteers
Are you an outdoors type? We need people to support our Great Escapees to spend their nights under the stars. Think helping pitch up, cooking and campfire parties.
