About us - The Camden Society

We provide a range of innovative and modern services enabling people with learning disabilities to live full and satisfying lives.

We are seeking Support Workers for our Supported Living Services in Oxford, Witney & Banbury and our Short Breaks Services in Banbury & Witney. Our teams must be flexible and forward thinking to support people to progress and achieve their dreams.

About the Role:

As a Support Worker, you will work as part of a team to provide a dynamic service for people with a range of needs including learning disability, autism and mental health.

You will be working in peoples homes and out in the community to provice practical, emotional and physical support to vulnerable people.  You will work to ensure they receive a person-centred, appropriate and safe service.
Support staff play an important part in the lives of this group of people in helping them lead fulfilling lives. We have high expectations of quality but importantly we want  motivated, imaginative and empathic staff.  The people in these services want what most would consider a normal life - it is our job to help make this happen and we hope you would like to be part of the journey.

The posts involve Monday - Sunday shift working, including Bank Holidays, sleep-overs and waking nights where required.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will be highly person-centred, enthusiastic and committed in your approach to working with vulnerable people.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • ability to help the people we support gain new skills;
  • ability to keep accurate records;
  • ability to be part of a team;
  • ability to balance priorities using sound judgement and problem solving skills;
