Social Enterprise Day 2018

This year, we took part in Social Enterprise UK’s #WhoKnew campaign in celebration of Social Enterprise Day.

#WhoKnew is an online campaign designed to give social enterprises the chance to shout out about the good work they're doing and the difference they're making in their communities and beyond. We spent the day celebrating the achievements of the work our social enterprises do day in day out across London.

Here’s your chance to catch up on the day if you missed out:

We celebrated the amazing job trainees and volunteers undertake at Mill Lane Garden Centre in West Hampstead. The team are busy preparing for what is to be their busiest Christmas season yet. #WhoKnew they are so ready for Christmas!

Find out more about Mill Lane Garden here.

Our flagship social enterprise café in Queen Elizabeth Park runs an inclusive apprenticeship scheme for people with a learning disability looking to take their first steps into a career in hospitality. We thanked the team for the delicious food and drink and wonderful hospitality they offer to customers every day of the week. #WhoKnew they are the food & coffee masters!

We have run a social enterprise Mailing & Distribution facility in Kentish Town for a number of years, training people and providing apprenticeships for people with a learning disability. Each package at our site is wrapped and sent by these trainees and apprentices. #WhoKnew this dedicated team works so hard for that everything is sent on time!
