Quality

We hold high standards with regard to quality. Our services must be delivered in line with the Camden Society's mission and values. To ensure this, our services are regularly evaluated as part of our quality assurance system.

The Camden Society has achieved a range of accreditations, quality marks and standards. Our Supported Living Services are accredited through the Supporting People Quality Assessment Framework and we are a CQC-registered domiciliary care provider and registered care homes provider - view our inspection reports on the CQC website.

We also hold the 'Positive about Disabled People' accreditation, the National Autistic Society's Autism Accreditation for our employment and outreach services and the Matrix standard for Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) work. We have won awards for our innovative practice, most recently for our social enterprises and peer volunteering projects. We are a Jobcentre Plus accredited provider, an approved provider for the London Open College Network (LOCN), and are accredited by the Hospitality Awarding Body as an NVQ assessment centre.

Value for Money

The Camden Society is committed to providing good services, efficiently. In purchasing from the Camden Society, value for money is achieved through the broad and integrated range of services that we offer. People using one of our services benefit from immediate access to a wide range of other services across our main delivery areas of supported living, training, employment and leisure.

All Camden Society services operate on a tightly monitored and managed, project-specific cost basis. To ensure continual competitiveness, we routinely benchmark our management and administration costs against those across the whole sector.

Sustainable Development

We hold accreditation for our sustainable development practices, including ISO14001 Certification for Environmental Management.

We are aware of the ways in which our business impacts on the environment and are committed to reducing those impacts. We design our services to make sure that everyone in our organisation, and the wider community, benefits from social, economic and environmental sustainability.

We are committed to ensuring that these principles are embedded throughout everything we do. For example, we employ local people first wherever possible, we source the food for resale in our cafe enterprises from local producers, operate a reuse and recycle policy and include sustainability modules in all our training programmes.
