Mayor drops in to New Horizons Cafe

The Mayor of Kensington & Chelsea, Councillor Julie Mills, met staff and trainees at our New Horizons Café near Sloane Square recently. During a visit to the Open Age Centre where the café is based, the Mayor took time out to see our catering in action and spoke to Karim Ismail, Trainee, about life in a busy kitchen.

Full of praise, the Mayor said she was “very impressed with the trainees" work at "a tremendous café which is the talk of Kensington and Chelsea” while Karim said “It’s all part of the job and I enjoy it, but I’m happy that the Mayor could take to time to come and chat to us.”
