11 May 2012: Goodbye Goldhurst Party

Join us to celebrate 20 years of The Goldhurst Project and all it has achieved before we say a proud goodbye to what has been a highly creative support project.

Developed in the early 1990s to support people with learning disabilities coming out of long-stay hospitals, the Goldhurst Project has evolved over the years but has always supported people who would otherwise have been excluded.

The project has enabled service users to access a variety of activities across the community. It has worked with carers, staff teams and professionals to develop positive support strategies, therapeutic and communication approaches to make life easier for project users.

We'd love you to join us for music and refreshments as we celebrate what the project stood for and all the people who have been involved with Goldhurst over the last two decades.

Goodbye to Goldhurst party from 3.00 - 6.00pm at:

37 Greenwood Place
Kentish Town
London NW5 3AQ

If you have any Goldhurst stories or photos you would like to share, please contact Heather Allen - heather.allen@thecamdensociety.co.uk

Heather is also trying to trace all previous Goldhurst workers, service users, families and carers and anyone else who has had a connection to Goldhurst so please pass on the party info.
