Commission us

Guests having breakfast at Hotel in the Park

The Camden Society has designed and run progressive services for people with learning disabilities for 40 years. We believe in an inclusive, equal society and support people with all kinds of needs, including people with autism, older people with learning disabilities and people with complex needs.

Personal budgets

With the rise of personal budgets, we are supporting many more people who want to design their own support packages to get in control of their services. To do this we have developed a range of accessible planning tools to assist people to explore support options and create bespoke packages that are tailored to people's lifestyles.

Statutory support services

Several local authorities commission us to deliver statutory support services including city living services, short breaks and holidays, employment and training services and leisure options. We currently work in partnership with statutory agencies and commissioners across Oxfordshire and in 10 London boroughs.

Innovation and modernisation

The Camden Society has a successful track record of breathing new life into failing services, delivering innovative models of support which people want to use. In Tower Hamlets and Oxfordshire, we took over traditional respite services with low occupancy rates. Transforming them into modern hotel-style short break services, all now regularly achieve 95% occupancy and we receive consistently positive feedback from our guests.

Social enterprise

Our social enterprises, community fundraising and relationships with a growing number of trusts and foundations enable us to fund specific initiatives and pioneer ground-breaking services without drawing resources away from our core activities.

Promoting volunteering

We also have a strong cohort of volunteers who provide additional support to our service users to lead vibrant, active lifestyles in their local communities. This brings added value to the contracted services we deliver and additional benefits to the people who we support.
