For 20 years the Camden Society has supported employers of all sizes to find well-trained, job-ready candidates. Delivering Government-funded employment support programmes, we offer information, advice and guidance to employers who are keen to explore untapped pools of talent.

Working with companies like Tesco, IKEA, Transport for London, Oxfam and a range of SMEs, we’ve helped thousands of people into work in all sectors, making recruitment easy for employers. We could help your company too, and, unlike traditional recruitment agencies, our services are completely free.

Why employ people with disabilities?

Access a new pool of potential employees

As many employers are experiencing skills shortages and struggle to retain good staff, the benefits of attracting people with disabilities are obvious. It makes good business sense to widen your recruitment strategy to include targeting this group of people

Diversity pleases customers

As around 25% of your customers have a disability or know someone who does, employing disabled people lets customers and partners know that you value diversity, thereby encouraging them to support your business

It's easier than you imagine

Support is available to help you to apply for grants to make workplace adjustments and to help you to develop strategies for supporting someone effectively at work

Employers have legal duties

Since October 2004, it has been important for all employers to understand disability legislation and take steps to stay within the law

It benefits everyone in your organisation

The benefits of employing people with disabilities are clear and proven. Research shows that you will benefit from reduced staff turnover, improved communication and employee satisfaction in recognising the talents of disabled people
