Aiming High Media Club: Islington

Show off your talents at our Aiming High Media Club in Islington. If you’re into filmmaking, photography, web searching, drama or music, this club is for you. Get on board, learn new skills and together we’ll make films for the 2011 Camden Society Film Festival. You’ll also get the chance to show your work in other public performances and exhibitions across London.

If you’ve always fancied yourself as an actor, a band member, a web guru or a film director, Aiming High Media Club will give you experience, as well as the chance to make some great new friends.

Who is it for?

To join you must be 14-18 years old and living in Islington. In particular, Aiming High Media Club is for people with autism, people with severe learning disabilities, and people who have found it difficult to use other services. Transport will be provided and we’d love to welcome you.

Aiming High for Disabled Children

The service is funded by the Aiming High for Disabled Children programme. Most of the activities in the scheme are free of charge, although some will have entrance fees, and pocket money may also be needed.

Referrals to the scheme come through Islington Council's Short Breaks team. Speak to a professional who knows your family well - for example, a GP or head teacher - for a referral. Or for more information about the Council's Short Breaks scheme, please contact the Short Breaks Manager on 020 7527 3927.
