Want to star in our 2012 calendar?
This year the Camden Society is recruiting people with learning disabilities who would like to feature in our 2012 calendar. The calendar will explore how people express their identity through clothes and personal image.
We'd love to hear from people who use what they wear and how they look to express their identity and interests, be it cultural or national identity, personality, make-up, hair or high fashion.
So, if you, or anyone you know, is interested in clothes and individual style and would like to appear in a self-directed photoshoot in the new calendar, please contact Kate Whittle on 020 7485 8177 or at
kate.whittle@thecamdensociety.co.uk by 23 September 2011.
You will need to be willing to talk to us about why and how you choose to express yourself in your own personal style. If you support somebody who would like to take part, please get in contact with Kate and leave names and contact details for each person who would like to be considered.
We need people who will be available for a photoshoot and interview session before October 14 and who will be happy for their photograph and words to appear in the calendar and on our website.
We will contact anyone interested to talk about how they would like to be photographed and to arrange a time to take the shots and get their opinions on self-expression and fashion.
So, please spread the word and express any interest by Friday 23 September 2011 for a chance to appear in the Camden Society’s new 2012 calendar.
